The main theoretical issue revolves around the fact that a coordinated visual identity is a visual ecosystem composed of organic relationships formed among the logo, colors, typefaces, environment, the user, and, more generally, every connected communication channel. Therefore, it is not possible to protect a trademark alone in order to safeguard a brand identity; one must keep certain considerations in mind and, above all, understand and apply the legal principles that govern intellectual property with respect to the applicable legal norms. This does not oblige everyone to protect everything, but to understand this we must proceed in an orderly fashion.
