A research project reflecting on the conceptual definition of the Murano bead. Traditionally defined as a hole in a specific glass produced in Murano, the editorial project explores physical, chemical, symbolic, historical, functional, sensory, and conceptual definitions, moving towards an abstraction that leads to immateriality. The conclusion is that the Murano bead, like Murano itself, does not exist.
